Flicware™ is the included software wedge that quickly and easily turns any Windows^® program into a bar code application in minutes. With Flicware, the bar code data your Flic tethered or batch scanner reads is received through the serial port of your computer and sent immediately as keystrokes to the active window on your desktop. This means the information you scan enters the program just as if you typed it at the keyboard. Scan data directly into spreadsheets, databases or custom programs. Flicware works only with a Flic bar code scanner. Features include the abilities to append 1 or 2 characters (i.e. for advancing to the next data field) or to delete 1 to 5 data indentifiers. Flicware detects Flic automatically each time the scanner is connected to the host computer. The optional Flic Docking Station makes it easy to quickly connect and disconnect.

Flicware™ Cordless Flicware Cordless is the enabling software included at no charge with the Flic® Cordless Laser Bar Code Scanner. The Flicware Cordless Software runs on your Windows® 2000 or Windows XP-based PC and communicates with the Flic Cordless Scanner via the Flic Bluetooth® USB Base Station or a Bluetooth-enabled host device (check 'What it Connects to' for a list of tested and compatible devices). The Flicware Cordless autoconnect feature lets you roam beyond normal 30-50 ft. (10-15 m) Bluetooth radio range, scan up to 500 bar codes using the internal memory, then auto-reconnect and upload data as soon as you are within range again -- giving you virtually unlimited range.
